Habernos, Direct from Cuba

Comprised of five musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, Habaneros begins their performance with Mozarts Quintet for Clarinet and String quartet. The repertoire on the second half of the performance, which is supported by a multimedia presentation of footage and hundreds of images of Cuba, will be comprised of transcriptions of leading Latino & Cuban composers including A.C. Jobim, Chucko Valdes, Compay Segundo (of the Buena Vista Social Club), Josilito Fernandez, Rafael Hernandez, Richard Egues, Abelardito Valdes, Carlos Suarez. Sponsored by CB&S Bank.
